Exhibition of Food & Hotel Vietnam comes to HCM City

The 8 th edition of Food & Hotel Vietnam is underway at the Saigon Exhibition & Convention Centre (SECC) in Ho Chi Minh City.

The 8,800-square-metre exhibition features 353 domestic and foreignbusinesses, 252 of which from 31 countries and territories worldwideincluding Australia, Singapore, the United Kingdom, the United States,Taiwan, Malaysia, the Republic of Korea, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan andSpain.

A wide range of food and drinks are ondisplay together with hospitality equipment and supplies for hotels andrestaurants.

Deputy Director of the VietnamChamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) Tran Viet Dung said that thepresence of so many exhibitors at the event reflected the strongdevelopment of the hospitality sector in Vietnam and the region.

The exhibition has offered a platform for local enterprises to learnabout the latest technologies and solutions from all over the world andseek business opportunities and new markets, he added.

Several seminars will be organised on the sidelines of the event,including “Food safety in commercial kitchens: An ISO 22000:2005Approach for practitioners” and “Itinerary for franchise” alongside aculinary challenge and a latte art competition.

Launched by the Singapore Exhibition Services associated with VCCIExhibition Service on April 21, the event will run through April 24.-VNA
