Thevisit also represents the first time a leader of the Communist Party ofVietnam has made an official visit to the US, it said.

The agency quoted Professor Jonathan London from the University ofHong Kong in the Wall Street Journal that the historic visit isindicative of Vietnam’s strategic balance policy.

The visit covers both strategic and important trade issues as Vietnamis among twelve nations negotiating the Trans-Pacific Partnership,initiated by the US.
