Claudio Dordi, head of the EU-MUTRAP’s TechnicalAssistance team said the law has been implemented over the past 20 yearsand proved effective in the Europe. It has played an important part infree trade agreement negotiations among concerned nations.
Vietnamis a dynamic country in economic development and internationalintegration, so it is urgent for the nation to promote the efficiency ofthe law, he stressed.
With European experience, the EU-MUTRAP’sexperts will help Vietnam enhance its capacity of law enforcement inthe context of global market integration, he added.
So far, there have been over 100 cases violating the competition law in Vietnam.
TrinhMinh Hien, an EU-MUTRAP expert, said violations should be publicisedand handled as soon as possible to help businesses to create a healthycompetition environment in Vietnam.
The competition law was issued on December 3, 2004 with the aim of restricting unhealthy competition.-VNA
