Hanoi (VNA) – How to ensure sustainable growthremains a long-term task despite the rosy macro-economy signs, said PrimeMinister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.
Speaking at a working session between the Government’s PartyCommittee and the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee’s EconomicCommission in Hanoi on July 23, the leader underlined the need to apply fiscal,monetary, trade, and investment policies at the same time.
At the meeting, PM Phuc lauded coordination between theGovernment’s Party Committee and the Economic Commission, highlighting theirjoint efforts in organising the Industry 4.0 Summit and Expo, which took placeon July 12-13.
He asked participants to focus their discussions on the difficultiesfacing the national economy, such as slow public investment disbursement, externalimpacts, as well as tax and commercial barriers on the economy.
The participants looked into various issues, namely thecountry’s economic growth, inflation, and impacts of the US-China trade tensionon the domestic economy.
They also proposed solutions to ensure macro-economicstability and spur rapid, sustainable economic growth. –VNA
