Moscow (VNA) – The Vietnam Embassy in Russia is working to verify profilesof five people, allegedly Vietnamese, who were killed a recent traffic accidentin Pskov region.
Accordingto the Russian news agency TASS, a head-on collision took place on the Saint Petersburg– Nevel road at midnight, leaving five dead and eight injured. Five of the survivedpeople were in critical condition. All of the deceased were presumed to beVietnamese.
Investigationinto causes and further details of the accident is underway.
After thenews was reported, he Vietnam Embassy sent a team to the scene to carry outcitizen protection procedures.
Vu HoangAnh, head of the embassy’s consular office, said the work is facingdifficulties because personal papers of the victims were damaged.
However,the embassy will do its best to support Vietnamese citizens, he affirmed.-VNA
