Kuala Lumpur (VNA) – The Vietnamese Embassy in Malaysia haslaunched another hotline to better protect Vietnamese citizens who come tocheer the finalfirst leg between Vietnam and Malaysia in the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF)Suzuki Cup 2018.
In case of emergency, Vietnamese footballfans in Malaysia can contact 60 11 3668 2866 for support. They can also reachthe embassy through hotlines 60 321 484 534, 06 321 410 709 or the citizenprotection hotline of 84 981848484.
On December 7, the Vietnamese Embassyissued an emergency warning to Vietnamese football fans, who will come toMalaysia to cheer on their side in the final first leg of the tournamentscheduled on December 11.
Besides bearing passports with validity of atleast six months, they are advised to protect their personal documents andbelongings and respect Malaysia’s legal regulations as well as customs andpractices of the country, including no smoking and drinking alcohol at publicand wine-banned restaurants.
At the same time, the embassy also worked withrepresentatives of relevant agencies of Malaysia, including the Ministry ofForeign Affairs, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Ministry of Home Affairsand the Malaysia Football Association to ask for support to Vietnamese fans tobuy tickets and measures to ensure security and safety for them.
Following the embassy’s request, theorganising board has designed an area exclusively for Vietnamese fans at thestadium.-VNA
