Buenos Aires (VNA) – The Embassy of Vietnamin Venezuela on December 6 celebrated the 33rd anniversary of the twocountries' diplomatic ties (December 18, 1989 – 2022).
Director General of theDepartment of Asia, Middle East and Oceania under the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry PedroRodriguez said that 33 years after establishing diplomatic relations and 15years of comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Venezuela, theirbilateral relations are constantly developing.
The two countries have promoted cooperationin such fields as politics, economy, culture, society, education and training.
Ambassador Le Viet Duyen reviewedmilestones and achievements in the two countries’ bilateral relations.
The two sides regularly exchange high-leveldelegations, particularly the visit to Vietnam in 2022 by the Venezuelan DeputyForeign Minister in charge of Asia, Middle East and Oceania Capaya Rodriguez.
The two countries have signed more than 50 cooperationagreements in fields as well as implemented cooperation mechanisms andbilateral cooperation projects, particularly those in agriculture andaquaculture.
In the first 10 months of this year,their two-way trade turnover increased by seven folds over the same period of2021, topping 50 million USD.
Also on this occasion, the Vietnamese Embassy held a photo exhibition on Vietnam-Venezuela relations andVietnamese culture, country and people./.
