Ho Chi Minh City police announced on August 14 that they had broken up a six-member drug trafficking ring, seizing 1,103 ecstasy pills, 499 grams of synthetic drugs, and nearly 10 kilograms of methamphetamine.
The police also seized one gun, 13 bullets and six cars.
The ring, led by Lanh Minh Thai, placed drugs in strongboxes which were then hidden in cars and brought to the southern region by trucks.
The municipal police are completing the file to hand the case over to the municipal People’s Court for prosecution.-VNA
