Hanoi (VNA) – The National Assembly (NA)continued its 10th session on October 21 with the draft revised law onresidence and the draft law on border defence high on the agenda.
In the morning, Hoang Thanh Tung, member of theNA Standing Committee and Chairman of the NA’s Committee for Legal Affairs,delivered a report on amendments to the draft revised law on residence.
After that, legislators discussed some debatableissues of this bill. Minister of Public Security To Lam gave explanation toclarify some related issues of deputies' concern.
In the afternoon, they scrutinised the draft lawon border defence after Vo Trong Viet, member of the NA Standing Committee andChairman of the NA’s Committee for Defence and Security, reported on revisionsto the draft.
Minister of National Defence Ngo Xuan Lich alsoprovided further details to clear lawmakers' concern.
On October 22, the parliament is set to lookinto a draft law amending and supplementing some articles of the law onhandling administrative violations and the draft law on internationalagreements.
The NA’s 10th session is scheduled to last for19 days with online meetings held from October 20 to 27 and face-to-facediscussions in Hanoi from November 2 to 17./.
