DPRK ambassador awarded with friendship insignia

President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations (VUFO) Vu Xuan Hong on June 29 granted its noblest insignia “For Peace and Friendship among Nations” to outgoing Ambassador of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) to Vietnam Kim Chang In.

Speaking highly of the diplomat’s working tenure in Vietnam, Hongsaid that the insignia is in recognition of his contributions toboosting the two countries’ friendship, solidarity and cooperation.

The ambassador expressed his honour to receive such a noble award,affirming that he will continue contributing to consolidating anddeveloping the bilateral ties in any position.

During his tenure since December 2010, the diplomat has actively workedwith Vietnamese ministries, agencies and localities and proposednumerous initiatives to boost collaboration between the two countries.-VNA
