The province’sexports over the past 11 months reached about 13.9 billion USD, up more than 8percent year-on-year, while imports were nearly 11.9 billion USD, up 2 percent,resulting in the highest-ever trade surplus in the locality, Sai Gon Giai Phong(Liberated Saigon) newspaper reported.
Sectors that saw bigexport turnover include footwear, garments-textiles, timber products andseafood.
With the figures,Dong Nai has become one of the four cities and provinces nationwide generatingthe highest trade surplus.
The department saidsince the beginning of this year, Dong Nai has attracted 1.83 billion USD inforeign direct investment (FDI), achieving 183 percent of the set yearly target.
