The 21 enterprisesparticipating in the job fair needed approximately 1,100 employees, ofwhich 80 percent are unskilled workers.
Several foreign-investedcompanies offer untrained workers a monthly salary of 5-7 million VND(230-325 USD) including benefits, but they could only recruit around 30percent of their workforce demand.
A representative fromChangshin Vietnam said this year the company needed 230 workers but atthe job fair most candidates were university graduates. As a result, thecompany was able to hire only 40 workers.
Statisticsprovided by the provincial Department of Labor, War Invalids and SocialAffairs show that more than 47,000 local workers have found jobs sincethe beginning of this year, about 52 percent of the annual target.
Bythe end of the year, businesses need to recruit thousands of employees,mainly in the footwear, processing and manufacturing industries.-VNA
