President Leonel Fernandez of theDominican Republic has unveiled steps to promote ties with Vietnam asthe outcome of his recent meeting with Construction Minister NguyenHong Quan, who is on a visit to the Caribbean country.
Fernandez was quoted by the President Office’s Website on Oct. 28 assaying that the two countries would sign agreements on exchange oftechnology and education soon.
Efforts will be made to strengthen bilateral cooperation in trade, transport and energy, he added.
He also said the Dominican Republic will send a delegation to Vietnamto promote bilateral relations at the invitation of ConstructionMinister Nguyen Hong Quan.
Quan is leading a delegation of over 30 members, including a number ofbusinesspeople, on a visit to the Caribbean republic from October 27.
Upon his arrival, he met Foreign Minister Carlos Morales Troncoso, whohighlighted great potential of cooperation between the two countries,especially in economy, trade, culture and education./.
PM meets with Kazakh, Turkmen, Ethiopian leaders
Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh had brief meetings with President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedow, and Prime Minister of Ethiopia Abiy Ahmed on the sidelines of the expanded BRICS Summit in Kazan city of Russia on October 23 evening (local time).
