Hanoi (VNA) – Police said on January 31 they are investigating wrongdoingsrelated to Dinh Ngoc He, alias Ut troc, and Thai Son Development and InvestmentJSC – Ministry of Defence that occurred in Hanoi.

The Ministry of Public Security’s InvestigationPolice Agency on January 29 decidedto launch criminal proceedings against He, former chairman and former generaldirector of Thai Son Development and Investment JSC, on the charge of “abusingposition and power to influence others for personal gain”, stipulated inArticle 358 of the Criminal Code 2015.

In July last year, Dinh Ngoc He was sentenced to 10years in prison by the CentralMilitary Court for “abusing position and power while performing officialduties”, and another two years for “using falsified documents of agencies andorganisations”. The Central Military Court upheld the verdict at a court ofappeals in November. -VNA
