Ha Tinh (VNA) – Deputy PrimeMinister Vuong Dinh Hue and a delegation of National Assembly deputies in thecentral province of Ha Tinh on September 30 visited residents in Ky Anh town,and Ky Anh and Cam Xuan districts, who have been affected by the recent storm.

Among other northern centralcoastal provinces, Ha Tinh has been hardest hit by Doksuri, the 10th storm arising in the East Sea and the most powerful in Vietnam in many yearswhich left nine dead, four missing and 112 injured nationwide.

 Ky Anh town, and Ky Anh and Cam Xuyendistricts have suffered the greatest losses caused by the storm in Ha Tinh.

Deputy PM Hue and hisencourage visited Ky Thinh 2 Elementary School in Ky Thinh district, Ky Anhtown, and a kindergarten in Ky Lam commune, Ky Anh district.

They also presented gifts worth 1.2 billion VND (52,800 USD) raised byorganisations, individuals and donors to 15 households in Ky Anh and Cam Xuyendistricts.

The Deputy PM asked Ha Tinh to review losses, especially in disadvantagedlocalities in order to employ suitable measures to overcome storm consequences.

The same day, he granted gifts to children, the disabled and homeless people in the provincial orphanage, where the official stressed that the Party and theGovernment always pay attention to people living in difficult circumstances anddisadvantaged groups.

The trip took place during their tour to meet voters in the run-up to the fourth session of the 14th National Assembly.-VNA
