Deputy head of Hanoi agriculture department arrested

Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Agriculture and Rural Development Phan Minh Nguyet has been arrested and prosecuted on the charge of abusing position and power while performing duties, the police said on February 27.

The Ministry of PublicSecurity’s Investigative Police Agency said they have also arrestedNguyen Thi Huyen Hao, chief accountant of the Hanoi AgriculturalInvestment and Development Co. Ltd, on the same charge.

Police said they have found sufficient evidence showing Nguyet and Haoabused position and power while carrying out their duties under Article281 of the Penal Code.

The arrest and prosecution warrants were approved by the Supreme People’s Procuracy.-VNA
