The city is taking measures to save energy, especially in construction and green growth.
Danish Minister of Climate, Energy and Building Martin Lidergaard saidVietnam and Denmark have huge potential in energy savingcooperation.
The building of the house will open up new cooperation opportunities for both countries in the field, he added.
Lidergaard visited the southern province of Ben Tre on the sameday to inspect two Danish-funded projects for climate change mitigation.
They include establishing a mangrove forest worth1.5 billion VND (71,428 USD) in Thanh Phong commune, Thanh Phu district,and constructing a dyke system with funding of 3.5 billion VND (166,000USD) in Minh Duc commune, Mo Cay district.
With Danishfunding, the provincial agricultural sector planted 100 hectares ofmangrove trees in 2012, increasing the area for coastal protection to4,000 hectares –which will reach 5,000 hectares by 2020.
The area will become a mangrove conservation area.
Denmark will also provide 1.5 billion VND for the project in 2013.-VNA
