Hanoi (VNA) – The Hanoi Department of Cultureand Sports has planned several decoration activities to give a facelift to thecapital city on its upcoming 65th anniversary of Liberation Day (October 10).
Accordingly, billboards on the celebration will be erected atheadquarters of local authorities’ buildings, and downtown exhibition centreson Trang Tien, Dinh Tien Hoang and Trinh Hoai Duc streets.
A total of 2,000 banners are set to be hung across mainroads and downtown areas, while lighting and decorations will be built in frontof the headquarters of the State Bank of Vietnam and the Ministry of ForeignAffairs.
Local districts and towns will join the efforts by coveringtheir key areas and buildings with banners and posters.
Residents are encouraged to hang the national flag on thefacades of their houses before, during and after the occasion.
The city will be fully decorated between October 1 and 11./.
