People in the central city of Da Nang, together with all Vietnamese people at home and abroad, are eagerly following the 12th National Party Congress which is taking place in Hanoi.

Da Nang (VNA) – People in the central city of Da Nang, together with all Vietnamese people at home and abroad, are eagerly following the 12th National Party Congress which is taking place in the capital city of Hanoi from January 20-28.

Director of the Da Nang University Tran Van Nam said all local Party members and residents look forward to the success of the National Party Congress, which will open up a new phase of development of the nation.

The Doi Moi (renewal) process initiated by the Party 30 years ago has brought about outstanding achievements, greatly enhancing the country’s position and strength, he said, noting that the people have great expectations of the 12th National Congress.

Nam expressed his belief that the delegates at the Congress will select capable and dedicated members for the Party Central Committee to continue the Party’s leadership of the Doi Moi cause.

Meanwhile, Vice President of the municipal Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Nguyen Dang Hai underlined the turning points in the nation’s revolutionary history marked by each National Party Congress.

Therefore, the 12th National Party Congress is of significance to the nation in international integration and national development.

Hai expressed belief that the Congress will continue to strengthen the national solidarity, as taught by late President Ho Chi Minh.

Truong Van Ba, a pensioner from An Hai Bac ward, Son Tra district, said as a Party member he fully believes in the success of the 12th National Party Congress and the sound selection of a new Party leadership.-VNA
