Da Nang celebrates 40th anniversary of liberation

A series of activities are being held in the central city of Da Nang to mark 40 years since its liberation (March 29, 1975-2015), according to the municipal Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Thecity has organised a number of events this month, including anexhibition to mark 50 years since the US first deployed troops to thecity, a book display, an Olympic Run Day, and a film week presentationabout war memories.

A grand ceremony to celebrate the 40 th anniversary will be held on March 28 at the Tien Son Sport Palace.

A 15-minute firework show is to light up the Da Nang’s skyline at 9 pmon March 28 at the Nguyen Van Troi Bridge and Ngu Hanh Son Stadium inLien Chieu and Hoa Vang districts.

A special street musicshow, expected to provide an exciting and intimate musical atmosphere,will take place at 7 pm on March 27 on Bach Dang street riverside walk.

Localities across the city will also organise culture, sport, and art performances to mark the special event.-VNA

The Mekong Delta province of Bac Lieu on October 21 signed a cooperation agreement with Uiseong county, Gyeongsangbuk-do province of the Republic of Korea (RoK) on sending local labourers to the RoK to work seasonally under the form of locality-to-locality collaboration between the two countries in the 2023 - 2027 period.

Tien Giang strives to reduce poverty rate to 0.87% this year
