Sayasone applauded the delegation’svisit, describing it as a good chance for the two Party CentralCommittee Offices to share operation experiences.
The Lao leader said he hoped that the two offices would step upcooperation and exchanges in order to well perform their advisoryfunctions for the Party Central Committees, Political Bureaus andSecretariats, thus further boosting the Laos-Vietnam comprehensivecooperation.
Du, who is also Secretary of the CPVCC,briefed his host on Vietnam ’s socio-economic situation and theresults of the earlier talks with the Lao Party Central CommitteeOffice. He pledged to spare no efforts to beef up cooperative relationsbetween the two agencies.
A day earlier, Du heldtalks with his Lao counterpart Bunpon Buttanavong, during which theydiscussed cooperation plans for the coming time, especially theimplementation of a project designed to develop IT infrastructure forthe Lao Party Central Committee’s commissions.
During the week-long trip until June 12, the two offices organised anumber of cultural and sports exchanges. The Vietnamese delegationvisited several economic and cultural establishments in Vientianeand is scheduled to visit Khammuon province on June 10./.
