Minister of Civil Aviationand Tourism Rashed Khan Menon, who was elected as the WPB President inthe 2014-2019 tenure, confirmed that his party always treasures thetraditional relations with the CPV and hopes such bilateral ties will befurthered in the coming time for the sake of the two peoples.
The Vietnamese delegation, led by Deputy Head of the CPV CentralCommittee’s Commission for External Relations Nguyen Huy Tang, also paida visit to Nepal, where they met with President of the Communist Partyof Nepal (Unified Marxist-Lenin) (CPN-UML) which holds a key role in thecurrent Nepalese Government.
Tang said he believes with theleadership of the new government, Nepal will reap significantsocio-economic achievements and soon approve a new constitution, helpingimprove the local living standards and raising the country’s positionin the region and the world, especially as the Chair of the 2014 SouthAsian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC).
Presidentof the CPN-UML J.Khanan praised Vietnam for its achievements inbuilding a socialist-oriented market economy.
Both sideslooked at ways to forge bilateral ties ahead, and agreed on measures toboost two-way trade relations in the context that the two countries willmark the 40 th anniversary of their diplomatic ties in 2015.-VNA
