CPC National Congress positively impacts Vietnam-China ties

The success of the ongoing 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) is expected to bring positive impacts to the relationship between Vietnam and China, said a Vietnamese friendship activist.

Hanoi (VNA) – Thesuccess of the ongoing 19th National Congress of the Communist Partyof China (CPC) is expected to bring positive impacts to the relationshipbetween Vietnam and China, said a Vietnamese friendship activist.

In an interview with the Vietnam News Agency’s reporter, Nguyen Vinh Quang,senior advisor of the Centre for Strategic Studies and International Developmentand Vice President of the Vietnam-China Friendship Association, said Vietnamattaches importance and pays attention to the 19th CPC NationalCongress.

The successes of China and the CPC are of significance to socialism in theworld and Vietnam in particular, Quang said.

He noted that after the congress, Chinese President Xi Jinping will visitVietnam and attend the APEC Economic Leaders’ Week slated for November 6-11 in the  central city of Da Nang, marking a good startfor relations between the CPC and the Communist Party of Vietnam, as well asbetween the two countries during the CPC’s new tenure.
 
Quang said stable cooperation mechanisms between the two countries have beenset up, covering all spheres from politics to economy, culture, education,science-technology, security, national defence and diplomacy.

The bilateral collaboration has brought practical benefits to people of bothcountries while contributing to stability and development in the region and theworld at large, especially in the context that the cooperation has been reflectednot only through the number but also mutual understanding and sharing of experience.

Over the past decades, Vietnam and China have addressed major issues left byhistory on the basis of friendship, cooperation and respect for internationallaw, he said.

Senior leaders of Vietnam and China have reached common perceptions whichmapped out orientations and targets for bilateral ties, Quang said.

Mutual trust and joint efforts will help advance the friendship and cooperationand remove difficulties hindering the bilateral relationship, he added.-VNA
