COVID-19 patient in Ha Giang declared fully recovered

Vietnam’s 268th COVID-19 patient, who was quarantined and treated at the Dong Van General Hospital in the northern mountainous province of Ha Giang, was declared to have fully recovered from the disease on April 30.

Ha Giang (VNA) - Vietnam’s268th COVID-19 patient, who was quarantined and treated at the Dong VanGeneral Hospital in the northern mountainous province of Ha Giang, was declared to have fully recovered from the disease onApril 30.

The patient, a H’Mong ethnic minority girl in Dong Vandistrict’s Pho La commune, was confirmed as Ha Giang’s first COVID-19 infectionon April 16. She will be quarantined and monitored for the next 14 days at the hospital.

The provincial People’s Committee has decidedto lift the lockdown order on the Dong Van General Hospital, Pho Bang town, andPho La commune in Dong Van district, and the Thanh Thuy medical station in Vi Xuyendistrict from 0:00 on April 30.

Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Son said the localities have been orderedto effectively continue implementing measures to both contain the spread of thevirus and ensure socio-economic development and social security and stability.

Regulations on social distancing and disease prevention guidelines such as wearingface masks and keeping a safe distance from others in public places will still bestrictly enforced in the province, he stressed

According to Director of the HaGiang Department of Labour, Invalids, and Social Affairs Sung Dai Hung, his agencyis working closely with relevant local departments to provide quick support to localpeople affected by the pandemic.

Ha Giang is striving to provide payments to those entitled to support before May12, he said./.
