COVID-19: New cases continue to drop on October 12

Vietnam recorded 2,949 new cases of COVID-19 on October 10, a drop of 678 cases compared to the previous day, according to the Ministry of Health.

Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam recorded 2,949 newcases of COVID-19 on October 10, a drop of 678 cases compared to the previousday, according to the Ministry of Health. 

Among these new cases, 10 were imported.

HCM City recorded the highest number ofinfections with 1,018, followed by neighbouring Dong Nai province with 501 andBinh Duong province with 447.

The national tally now stands at 846,230.

According to the Ministry of Health’s report, 4,299 patientsnationwide are in serious conditions, with 546 requiring invasiveventilation and 19 on life support (ECMO).

On the day, the country saw 93 deaths from thedisease. The death toll now hits 20,763 .

A further 1,347 patients were given the all-clear, taking the total number ofrecoveries to 786,095.

Hanoi tightens control, prevention of monkeypox
