Congratulations to re-elected leader of Communist Party of Sri Lanka

General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee Nguyen Phu Trong has sent congratulations to D.E.W. Gunasekara on his re-election as General Secretary of the Communist Party of Sri Lanka.
Hanoi (VNA) – General Secretary of the CommunistParty of Vietnam Central Committee Nguyen Phu Trong has sentcongratulations to D.E.W. Gunasekara on his re-election as General Secretary ofthe Communist Party of Sri Lanka.

The Communist Party of Sri Lanka held the 21stnational congress in Colombo from September 29 to October 1.

Gunasekara, born in 1935, is also a member ofthe United People’s Freedom Alliance in Sri Lanka. He is a former Member ofParliament and former cabinet minister.-VNA
