Congratulations to new Prime Minister of Japan

Hanoi (VNA) – Prime MinisterNguyen Xuan Phuc on September 16 extended congratulations to Suga Yoshihide as the latter was officially named the new Prime Minister of Japan following a vote in thecountry’s Parliament on the day.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister ofForeign Affairs Pham Binh Minh on the same day congratulated Motegi Toshimitsu forbeing re-elected as Japanese Minister for Foreign Affairs.

Japanese PM Abe Shinzo’s declared to resignon August 28.

Vietnam and Japan have become important partnersof each other since the establishment of diplomatic ties on September 21, 1973./.
