Hanoi (VNA) – Party General Secretary and StatePresident Nguyen Phu Trong has cabled a message of congratulations to Emir ofKuwait Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, on his coronation.

Bilateraldiplomatic ties were established on January 10, 1976. Kuwait was the firstmember of the Gulf Cooperation Council and also one of the first Middle Easterncountries to form a diplomatic relationship with Vietnam./.
