Hanoi, (VNA) – Deputy Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung has congratulated the staff of the Hanoi-based Lao Embassy on their country’s 40th National Day (December 2).
Meeting with the Lao diplomats on November 30, Trung lauded great achievements the neighbouring country has recorded in various areas over the past time under the leadership of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party.
Expressing his thanks to the Lao Party, State and people for their support for Vietnam’s national construction and defence, and renewal, the official stressed the Vietnamese Party, State and people are always proud of the fraternity, comradeship and special solidarity between the two countries.
He conveyed the greetings of Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh and the Foreign Ministry’s officials to their Lao colleagues and their wish for further bilateral fruitful cooperation.
Lao Ambassador Thongsavanh Phomvihane said his country has received prompt and timely support from the Vietnamese side over the past time, stressing the ever-green special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties and States.
The diplomat noted his wish to continue preserving and moving forward the relationship.
The same day, Deputy Standing Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party’s Committee Vo Van Thuong visited Laos’ Consulate General on the occasion of the 40 th anniversary of Lao National Day.-VNA
