Nearly 800 domestic and foreign managers, scientists and experts in infectious diseases and HIV/AIDS are attending a conference in the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong, to share experience in this field.
At the two-day event, that opened on September 4 in Lam Dong city, the participants discussed the development of contagious diseases and HIV/AIDS around the world and in Vietnam particularly, as well as the use of antibiotics and antibiotic resistance in the country.
Latest research outcomes on HIV/AIDS, normal, emerging and recurring infectious diseases, and those among children will be presented at the conference.
Hepatitis, tests for infectious diseases and a number of complicated cases are also among topics tabled on this occasion.
The conference gives Vietnamese researches and doctors a chance to update their knowledge of this area, contributing to improving the quality of scientific research and medical treatment of HIV/AID and infectious diseases in the country.-VNA
