The municipal Department of Tourism will hold events and activities within theframework of the event, such as the signing of tourism alliances between HCMCity and other southern localities and the south-central province of Binh Thuan,and the holding of an Ao Dai (traditional dress) festival.
An official travel identifier of HCM City will be introduced in the secondphase of the campaign.
Conferences promoting tourism links between the city and localities in the northwest,northeast, and central regions will also be organised.
Municipal authorities will also focus on fostering tourism promotion activitiesin the communications channels of international tourism organisations the city hasjoined, such the Tourism Promoting Organisation for Asia PacificCities (TPO) and the Asian Federation of Exhibition and Convention Associations (AFECA), as well asonline travel agencies (OTAs).
Deputy Director of the municipal Department of Tourism Vo Thi Ngoc Thuyhighlighted the significance of the campaign, saying that it aims to start the chainof events and tourism promotion programmes in the city’s tourism developmentstrategy to 2025 and vision to 2030./.
