Vietnam ’s committees for peace and solidarity have called on parties inconflict to cease fire and boost dialogue to seek solutions regardingthe unrest in Libya .
The Vietnam Peace Committee, theCommittee for Solidarity and Cooperation with Asia, Africa and LatinAmerica and the Committee for Solidarity with Libyan Arab People issued astatement on April 19, backing international and national peace,solidarity and friendship committees’ declarations and activitiesregarding the situation in Libya .
The committees expressed their deep concern about events in Libya and shared the Libyan people’s losses.
They also called upon all parties to end military actions and seekpeaceful solutions which are suitable under international law and thebasic principles of the UN Charter.
The parties shouldalso respect the independence and sovereignty of nations and avoid thepossibility of negative precedents in international relations, for theinterest of Libyan people, peace and stability in the region and theworld at large./.
