Hanoi (VNA) – Three major expos on supporting industries: Vietnam Manufacturing Expo 2016, Industrial Components & Subcontracting Vietnam (ICSV) 2016 and Vietnam Sheet Metal (VSM) 2016, all opened at the Hanoi International Centre for Exhibition (ICE Hanoi) on April 6.

The 8th Vietnam Manufacturing Expo features machinery and technologies for mold making and plastics manufacturing from 200 brands, representing about 20 countries around the world.

The event, which runs through to April 8, is regarded as a “Community Platform” for industrial part-making factory owners, engineers, production managers, and industrialists to source new solutions, new parts, new suppliers, new partners and new knowledge to keep up with or indeed lead the change that the promising future of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) will bring.

The three-day ICSV 2016 establishes a platform for domestic and foreign component makers to come together for partnership opportunities.

Meanwhile, the VSM 2016 encompasses all core sectors of the sheet metal working process to enhance the production capacity of the industry.

Speaking at the opening of the Vietnam Manufacturing Expo, Thai Ambassador to Vietnam Manopchai Vongphakdi said he believes that when technological updates are in line with business and network building opportunities that the event brings, Vietnamese producers will be able to transform and improve themselves for effective regional integration.

A number of conferences will also be held on the sidelines of the expo, including “Building up Vietnam to be the production hub of ASEAN through collaborations and network integrations” and “The Impact of Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) and EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) to the supporting industries in Vietnam – What businesses need to know”.-VNA
