On Oct. 8, the delegation, headed by the first secretary of the CYLCCentral Committee’s Secretariat, Lu Hao, held talks with a delegationof the Secretariat of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union’s CentralCommittee, headed by first secretary Vo Van Thuong.
The two sides briefed each other on their activities as well as their countries’ recent socio-economic developments.
They discussed measures to speed up the signing of a cooperation agreement for the 2010-2011 period.
Plans to coordinate with each other in holding people-to-peoplediplomatic and youth exchange activities in the Vietnam-ChinaFriendship Year 2010 were also discussed.
Secretaries Thuong and Hao agreed that the two sides would furtherstrengthen exchanges in the coming time, aimed at helping the youngpeople of the two countries become better equipped to cope withchallenges arising in the course of development of the market economy.
The two youth unions have seen much progress in their cooperation overthe past years, contributing to the relationship of friendship andcooperation between the two countries’ young people.
On the same day, Secretary and Head of the Office of the CommunistParty of Vietnam (CPV)’s Central Committee, Ngo Van Du, met with theChinese youth delegation.
The delegation’s visit to Vietnam is evidence of the solidarity andfriendship between the Communist Party of China (CPC) and the CPV, aswell as between the two countries in general and the two countries’youth in particular, Du said.
He also expressed his wish that the two youth organisations would further strengthen their cooperation in the coming time.
Head of the Chinese youth delegation Lu Hao expressed his pleasure tovisit Vietnam and on behalf of the delegation, congratulated Vietnamesepeople for their great achievements over the past 20 years.
He said he believed the friendly and cooperative relationship between the two countries’ young people would further develop./.
