The Chinese Embassy in Vietnam hosted a reception marking the 66th founding anniversary of the People’s Republic of China on September 29.
Present at the event, Minister of Planning and Investment Bui Quang Vinh congratulated Chinese people on their achievements gained over the past 66 years and expressed his belief that they would yield more in the coming time.
The Vietnamese Party, Government and people always pay heed to strengthening and enhancing the traditional bond with China for win-win cooperation and satisfactorily settling disputes, contributing to regional and international peace, security and development, declared Vinh.
Sharing his guest’s opinions, Chinese Ambassador Hong Xiaoyong underscored growing bilateral relations built by the two countries’ efforts and hoped for a deepened comprehensive strategic partnership in the near future.
Statistics released by the Chinese customs show that two-way trade turnover between the two countries reached 41.8 billion USD in the first half of this year, a year-on-year increase of 16.6 percent. Of the amount, China’s exports to Vietnam stood at about 31 billion USD, up 14.8 percent, while its imports from Vietnam were worth 10.8 billion USD, up 22.1 percent.-VNA
