Chinese citizen arrested for credit appropriation

Hanoi Police have arrested Feng Hai Qiang, a Chinese citizen, for the act of using counterfeit debit cards to appropriate cash from automated teller machines (ATM).

Investigating the suspect, local policeon June 18 detected him carrying 14 counterfeit ATM cards and 6.5million VND (305 USD) illegally withdrawn from ATMs, along with ATM cardmaking equipment.

This is the first case of its kind detectedin Hanoi, said Major Ngo Minh Quang from the Hanoi Police’s High-techCrime Prevention Faculty (PC50).

He added the force is collaborating with other relevant teams to investigate further and pursue Feng’s accomplices.-VNA

The Mekong Delta province of Bac Lieu on October 21 signed a cooperation agreement with Uiseong county, Gyeongsangbuk-do province of the Republic of Korea (RoK) on sending local labourers to the RoK to work seasonally under the form of locality-to-locality collaboration between the two countries in the 2023 - 2027 period.
