Hanoi (VNA) – A China Coast Guard ship with 101 officers and crewmembers aboard docked at Chua Ve port in the north-eastern city of Hai Phong on November 10, starting its four-day visit to the city.
The visit aims to strengthen the friendship and cooperation between the armies of Vietnam and China in general and their coast guard forces in particular.
This is the first trip to Vietnam by a China Coast Guard ship as part of the cooperation programme signed between the coast guard forces.
During their visit, the Chinese officers and crewmembers will pay a courtesy call on leaders of the Hai Phong People’s Committee, hold talks with Vietnam’s Coast Guard officers and participate in sporting activities with Vietnamese soldiers of the Coast Guard Region 1.
They will also go for tours of tourist sites in Hai Phong city and the UNESCO-recognised Ha Long Bay.-VNA
