Hanoi (VNA) – The Central Military Commission helda meeting in Hanoi on April 10 to review the implementation of military anddefence tasks and discuss the focus of this work in the time ahead.
Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, who isalso Secretary of the commission, chaired the meeting.
Other participants included President Tran DaiQuang – a member of the commission’s standing committee, Prime Minister NguyenXuan Phuc – a member of the commission’s standing committee, and DefenceMinister General Ngo Xuan Lich – Vice Secretary of the commission.
After assessing the outcomes of recent militaryand defence-related activities, the commission considered directions for andspecified the focus of relevant work in the coming time so as to improve the army’scombined strength and combat readiness, thus meeting the national protectiondemand in the new context.-VNA
