Canon Vietnam upgrades ethnic school in Lang Son

Lang Son (VNA) – Canon Vietnam Ltd Company handed over an upgraded facilityfor the ethnic semi-boarding primary school No.1 in Bac Son district of thenorthern province of Lang Son on August 31.

Inaddition to the new facility, the company presented 462 gift sets to studentsof the school.

Earlier,Canon Vietnam built four new classrooms for the school in 2009. Ahead of thenew 2017-2018 school year, the company also helped the school to repair fourclassrooms which have been affected by severe weather.

With agoal of improving learning environment of teachers and students indisadvantaged mountainous localities, the “Canon friendship school chain”project has helped build 106 new classrooms, 2 teachers’ rooms, 14 standardtoilets and hand washing areas in 45 friendship schools in 19 provinces in thenorthern and central regions since 2007.

Thecompany also presented supplies such as cameras, printers, computers andbookshelves to the schools.

Canon has three production facilities in ThangLong (Hanoi) and Que Vo and Tien Son in Bac Ninh province.-VNA
