Can Tho City to host Mekong Expo

The International Mekong Expo with the theme “Mekong Delta’s investment, development cooperation, and further trade promotion” will take place in the southern city of Can Tho from 26 April- 2 May.
The International Mekong Expo with the theme “Mekong Delta’s investment,development cooperation, and further trade promotion” will take placein the southern city of Can Tho from 26 April- 2 May.

The organising board expects to have about 400 booths of domestic andforeign joint venture enterprises which will be arranged in areas oftrade promotion, traditional and regional specialities, enterprises’products, goods for children and green products.

Inaddition, several cities and provinces will host trade and tourismpromotion activities, while enterprises will take the opportunities tointroduce their new products, thus seeking trade partners from otherareas.

Besides activities for exhibitors, therewill also be entertaining events for visitors, including a traditionalcake making contest and games for children.-VNA

The Mekong Delta province of Bac Lieu on October 21 signed a cooperation agreement with Uiseong county, Gyeongsangbuk-do province of the Republic of Korea (RoK) on sending local labourers to the RoK to work seasonally under the form of locality-to-locality collaboration between the two countries in the 2023 - 2027 period.

Tien Giang strives to reduce poverty rate to 0.87% this year
