Cambodian, Thai Tourism Ministers hold bilateral talks

– Thai Tourism and Sports MinisterKobkarn Wattanavrangkul have met her Cambodian counterpart Thong Khon inBangkok in the first Cambodian-Thai Tourism Ministerial Meeting.

According to a press release by the Cambodian Ministry of Tourism, both sideshave agreed to enhance the implementation of a memorandum of understandingbetween the two tourism ministries. The agreement provides for the facilitationof travel and tourism transportation, the joint tourism marketing campaign"Two Kingdoms, One Destination", tourism investment, cruise links,and human resource development.

The two ministers also discussed health tourism. Kobkarn agreed to allowCambodian tourists to stay in Thailand for up to 90 days per visit to seekhealth treatments.

Last year, Cambodia welcomed more than five million foreign visitors, of whom350,000 were Thai nationals. During the same period, about 700,000 Cambodiantourists visited Thailand.-VNA
