Cambodian delegation extends New Year greetings in Vinh Long

Vinh Long (VNA) - A delegation from the DevelopmentDepartment under the Cambodian Ministry of National Defence led by Lieut. Gen. OukHoeunpisey visited and extended Lunar New Year wishes to the authorities of Vinh Long province in the Mekong Delta region on January 11.

Atthe reception, Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Nguyen VanLiet wished that the fine neighbourliness, traditional friendship,comprehensive, sustainable and long-term cooperation between Vietnam and Cambodia willkeep growing.

CongratulatingVinh Long on its notable socio-economic achievements, Hoeunpisey expressed hisdesire for increased collaboration in education-training and agriculturebetween the department and Vinh Long in the coming time.

He extended greetings and Tet wishes to the provincial Party Organisation, authoritiesand people and wished for enduring solidarity, friendship andcooperation between Cambodia and Vietnam, as well as closer tiesbetween the department and Vinh Long in particular./.

The Mekong Delta province of Bac Lieu on October 21 signed a cooperation agreement with Uiseong county, Gyeongsangbuk-do province of the Republic of Korea (RoK) on sending local labourers to the RoK to work seasonally under the form of locality-to-locality collaboration between the two countries in the 2023 - 2027 period.
