The annual drill, dubbed "Angkor Sentinel 2014", took place atthe Training Centre for Multinational Peacekeeping Forces, about 70 kmwest of the capital Phnom Penh, according to a statement by the USembassy in Cambodia.
Lieut. Gen. Hun Manet, deputy commanderof the Cambodian Army, said the exercise will enable the two armies toshare tactics, techniques and expertise.
With over 370Cambodian soldiers and 100 US counterparts taking part, the drill willfocus on humanitarian assistance and disaster relief to prepareCambodian troops for the UN peacekeeping missions.
The first drill of this kind was held in 2010. Last year, it gathered 310 Cambodian and US soldiers.-VNA
