Cambodia’s trade reform has facilitated the growth of import from theASEAN member states, the European Union, China, and Japan this year,Secretary of State of Ministry of Commerce Kim Sithon said.
Cambodia shipped to Thailand 457 million USD worth of commodities,mainly rice, maize, cassava, beans, fish, and garment, a year on yearsurge of 61 percent.
Meanwhile, Thailand’s exports toCambodia reached 3.725 billion USD during the period, up 8 percent.Thai products to the partner are mainly gas and petroleum, food, fruits,building materials, construction equipment and pharmaceuticals.
In a recent meeting in Phnom Penh, the Cambodia-Thailand GeneralBorder Committee (GBC) has discussed measures to further enhanceeconomic cooperation between the two countries, notably their borderareas.-VNA
