According to the CCAA’s report, theair transport sector reaped remarkable results, with t he country’s twobiggest international airports in Phnom Penh and Siem Reap welcomingover 5.7 million passengers in 2014, a 12.4 percent increase over theprevious year. The figure is expected to hit 4 million by 2020.

CCAA Chief Mao Havannal revealed that Cambodia hosted a meeting withLao and Vietnamese representatives in Phnom Penh on July 20 to discussmeasures to enhance the efficiency of the New Communications, Navigationand Surveillance/Air Traffic Management (New CNS/ATM) project.
TheNew CNS/ATM project, worth 500 million JPY (6 million USD) funded bythe Japanese Government for the three countries from 2010-2015, aims toreduce the time spent flying, thus cutting down aviation transportexpenses.-VNA
