The regulations consist of nine chapters and 58 articles, relating to theparty’s vice president election.
It was submitted to the Interior Ministry on April 26 following itsextraordinary general meeting on April 25.
Earlier in March, CNRP organised a meeting to select new leaders after theresignation of ex-leader Sam Rainsy on February 11. Accordingly, former vicepresident Kem Sokha ascended to the party presidency while lawmakers Pol Ham,Mu Sochua and Eng Chhay Eang were elected as vice presidents.
However, the Interior Ministry on March 23 claimed that the elections were notrecognised as they breached a clause of the CNRP’s regulations and asked theparty to follow their regulations. -VNA
