According to the government's directive signed by Prime MinisterHun Sen, the campaign lasts two weeks, from July 29 to August 12, the CambodiaNews Agency AKP reported.
Under the document, all provinces and the capital city of Phnom Penh are instructedto simultaneously take administrative and health safety measures as well as toreinforce legal measures in their respective geographical areas, and tostrictly carry out those measures during this campaign.
The measures range from the suspension of high-riskoccupational and business activities such as KTVs, nightclubs, beer gardens,resorts, amusement parks, alcoholic beverage outlets, cinemas, theatres,museums, sports clubs, and fitness centres, to the ban of private gatherings ofover 10 people, and of dining-in at eateries.
A curfew from 9:00 pm to 3:00 am must be imposed wholly orpartly, especially for Phnom Penh and provincial capitals.
As of July 28 morning, Cambodia hadrecorded 75,152 infections, including 9,721 imported ones. The Delta varianthas been detected on over 100 patients in the country, mainly Cambodian workersreturning from Thailand./.
