The rise is attributable to newly launchedroutes such as Phnom Penh – Xiamen (China), Phnom Penh-Bangkok(Thailand) and Phnom Penh-Hanoi (Vietnam), the number of passengersflying CAAir international routes has increased to 226,000 in thereviewed period.
The carrier’s statistics reportedthat a total of 307,000 passengers, including 80,000 domesticpassengers, used the airline during the first six months of this year,up 77 percent over the same period last year.
CAAir isa joint-venture company between Vietnam Airlines and the CambodianGovernment. The airline has set a target to increase the number ofairplanes to 15 in 2015, to cater to the increasing demand of bothdomestic and international markets.-VNA
