The Vietnamese leader lauded the sound cooperation outcomes between his country and Cuba in recent years and congratulated the Latin American nation on its enormous and comprehensive accomplishments on the path of national development and protection.

The Vietnamese Party, State and people will exert all efforts to foster the bilateral cooperation and friendship with Cuba on both scale and depth, he stressed.

The PM noted that much room remains for the two countries to expand their partnership, especially as Cuba is pushing forward with reform and development model update while successfully breaking the decade-old economic embargo.

For her part, Minister Rodriguez voiced delight at her visit’s coincidence with the 55th founding anniversary of the countries’ diplomatic ties, underlining the incessant growth of their amity, political trust and mutual understanding.

She thanked Vietnam for effective cooperation and support to Cuba’s development and noted that a five-year cooperation agreement inked between the two finance ministries during her visit will help lift their ties to a higher level, ultimately contributing to the countries’ overarching relations.-VNA
