Business start-up competition kicks off nationwide

Young entrepreneurs nationwide can register for the 3rd Start-Up Wheelcompetition, which aims to help them gain expertise, experience andsupport, from April 14 to May 15.

According to TruongLy Hoang Phi, CEO of the Ho Chi Minh City Business Start-up SupportCentre, the competition will organise 10 major events in Ho Chi MinhCity, Hanoi, Da Nang, Hue, and Can Tho with an estimated 1,500participants and 500 initiatives competing against each other.

At the elimination round, candidates present their business plans - both online and offline - to the management board.

The semi-finalists go through 4 challenges of writing their plans,designing their trademark recognition tools, making promotional videosand raising funds at the website fundingvn.com

Last year, the competition drew in 5,000 students in Ho Chi Minh City.In total, 348 start-up plans appealed to 500 investors and received acombined investment of 10 billion VND (460,829 USD). Throughout thejourney, 11 outstanding initiatives received full sponsorship.-VNA
